Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 Concentrate

Suitability and performance are not guaranteed outside of an ongoing individualised protocol.

Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 Concentrate

Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 Concentrate contains 10.5% Vitamin C as naturally occurring ascorbic acid, the most potent form of Vitamin C, formulated and packaged to avoid oxidation.

Topically applied ascorbic acid has demonstrated numerous benefits, helping protect against photodamage, reduce inflammation and stimulate collagen production.

In combination with sunscreen, these properties make ascorbic acid effective in both preventing and treating the pathogenesis of skin aging.

Unfortunately, the majority of Vitamin C in use is substantially oxidized before use, different from the Vitamin C studies have found to be beneficial, and either useless or harmful to skin.

Independent laboratory analyses at Swinburne University have shown that many Vitamin C products marketed as containing 10-20% Vitamin C contain as little as 2% l-ascorbic acid.

Some manufacturers touting the superior stability of their antioxidant products have on closer inspection been found to be supplying thoroughly oxidized product.

Oxidized Vitamin C is readily identified by its yellow to brown tinge (antioxidant Vitamin C is clear), although some manufacturers add yellow/brown coloring to mask product deterioration, and very early stages of deterioration do not affect color.

Along with Alyria Antioxidant Capsules (10% Vitamin C + 1% Vitamin E) and PCA pHaze 16+ C-Strength 20% (20% Vitamin C + 5% Vitamin E), Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 provides the actual antioxidant Vitamin C molecule (10.5%) in an anhydrous (waterless) oxidation-resistant formula.

Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 is packaged in a metal tube with a miniscule opening which prevents light and air from interacting with the product.

Despite these benefits, Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 is 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of alternatives.

Although some users are accustomed to using Vitamin C Serums containing Vitamin C at purported 10-20% antioxidant concentrations, if oxidized product is used the skin's beneficial exposure to Vitamin C will be less than with lower concentration, unoxidized product.

The most obvious results from Biomedic Potent-C are a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and colouring and manifest in four to twelve weeks of use.

Benefits appear to continue to accrue for up to a year and diminish over time if the product is stopped (or not replaced with a similar product).

Biomedic Potent-C is applied once or twice daily to the face, neck and hands.

Biomedic Potent-C is not usually suitable for use around the eyes. La Roche Posay Active-C Eyes and Redermic Eyes are milder alternatives for delicate skin.

If skin is extremely sensitive, acclimate skin by using La Roche-Posay Active-C Emulsion for Combination Skin or Dry Skin for one month before commencing use of Biomedic Potent-C.

Biomedic Potent-C is suitable for all skin types, excluding extremely oily and extremely sensitive.

Biomedic Potent-C can also help reduce the appearance of new stretch marks.

Each tube of Biomedic Potent-C 10.5 Concentrate provides approximately 6 weeks of once daily use.

Unusually, Biomedic Potent-C contains adenosine.
