Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS Nutritional Skin Care Supplement with BioCell

Suitability, performance and superiority of this product against other options are only guaranteed when prescribed.

Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS Nutritional Skin Care Supplement with BioCell

The icing on the cake of a perfectly implemented skincare protocol, Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS enhances appearance in addition to correct dietary and lifestyle factors by enhancing endogenous hyaluronic acid production by providing chondroitin sulfate in addition to a range of respected dietary antioxidants and nutritional substances which yield enhanced health, energy and appearance when raised to levels beyond those available in everyday foods.

In essence, Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS provides a new and more refined level of skin rejuvenation from the inside out, for the entire body skin, particularly in the areas of skin volume/plumpness and elasticity.

Based on extensive medical nutritional research, C-ESTAMINS are the most advanced and comprehensive anti-aging nutritional supplement available today.

C-ESTAMINS supplies many critical components that have been shown to promote energy and provide support for enhanced well-being, energy and longevity while noticeably improving the appearance of aging and sun-damaged skin.

What's new about Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS?

In addition to the previous dynamic formula, C-ESTAMINS now contains a patented technology called BioCell Collagen II

BioCell has been the focus of two double blind placebo controlled studies that have confirmed the effects of BioCell on factors that influence skin elasticity and volume, improving skin texture and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

BioCell is a revolutionary discovery that addresses one of the common denominators in aging: loss of connective tissue.  Connective tissue helps to give form and structure by acting as a “filler agent” and providing volume.

One of the primary components involved in this process is Hyaluronic Acid which is a water filled gel.  The human body produces approximately 3,000 milligrams of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) each day.  Each day we lose Hyaluronic Acid, so our body constantly produces more in order to replenish daily loss.

As we age, sun exposure and factors such as a decline in hormones cause a sharp drop in our internal concentrations of HA.  By the time we are 40 years of age, most people are producing significantly lower levels of HA.

Some of the highest levels of HA are found in the skin. Many researchers today believe that if we could maintain or increase our levels of HA, we would prevent many of the outward signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin.

Replenishing Hyaluronic Acid Orally

What if we could increase our internal levels of HA?  Topical application, with moisturizers for example, involves large molecules that can only help to lock in existing surface moisture.

BioCell is a breakthrough technology where the HA molecule has been reduced and combined with other constituents of connective tissue into a natural matrix

Taken orally, BioCell is easily absorbed by the body.

It is the most potent and well documented substance of this type shown to increase internal stores of Hyaluronic Acid and visibly improve the appearance of skin.

What Benefits will Patients Notice?

More than half of the body’s HA is found in the skin. Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated that by increasing Hyaluronic Acid through oral supplementation, users report:

  • A visible lessening of facial wrinkles;
  • Improved facial and body skin texture;
  • Noticeably increased skin moisture content;
  • An increased appearance of firmness and volume.

JMSR is the only company to produce a comprehensive anti-aging supplement that contains the full recommended amount of BioCell.

  • Each one month supply is conveniently packed in a sealed canister, containing 30 daily packets of 5 tablets each.
  • Simply take one packet daily with food and you will start seeing and feeling the difference within a few months time.

Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS: Dunaliella Salina – Carotenoids Complex

Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS: Dunaliella Salina – Carotenoids Complex

Dunaliella salina is a type of pink micro-algae found in sea salt fields.

Known for its antioxidant activity, it is used in Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS.

Few organisms can survive in such highly saline conditions as salt evaporation ponds.

To survive, these organisms have high concentrations of carotenoids to protect against the intense light and temperature to which they're subjected.

This remarkable marine plant actually produces antioxidants in response to free radicals.

In a study performed at the Department of Chemistry, El Carmen University in Huelva, Spain, scientists subjected Dunaliella salina to high levels of UV, which is known to cause damage by encouraging the production of free radicals.

This type of damage is the same as that produced by exposure to the sun, which results in wrinkles.

Shortly after exposure to high UV, the plant literally oozes strong antioxidant carotenoids (Salguero A, et al. Biomol Eng 2003, 20(4-6): 249-253).

Natural Mixed Carotenoids found in Dunaliella salina are among nature's best antioxidants, containing a variety of carotenoids including Beta Carotene, Alphacarotene and Xanthophylls like Zeaxanthin, Cryptoxanthin and Lutein.

  • Dunaliella salina contains previously unknown forms of beta-carotene that are far more powerful than any of those found in fruit and vegetables. Research performed at the Cancer Research Centre of Hawaii shows that Dunaliella salina contains a certain type of betacarotene called 9-cis-beta-carotene, which is up to ten times stronger at preventing cancer than ordinary beta-carotene (Hieber AD, King TJ et al. Nutr Cancer 2000:37(2):234-244).
  • Beta-carotene reduces the amount of harmful free radicals present in your body that can damage DNA and cause cosmetic problems by promoting wrinkles and skin cancer. Researchers from the Institute of Cancer Research in Nanjing, in China have studied another type of beta-carotene isolated from Dunaliella salina called beta-CDS on human cancer cells. They found that when the extract was applied to cancerous cells it was able to prevent them from multiplying, and concluded that beta-CDS is an effective anti-cancer agent (Ma GJ, Xue KX et al. Zhongguo Yao Li Xue Bao 1998;19(3):282-284).
  • Dr LX Xue from the Laboratory Centre for Medical Sciences, Henan Medical University in China has found that found that carotenoids from Dunaliella salina were 55 per cent stronger compared to ordinary beta-carotene when it comes to inhibiting the development of cancerous cells. According to Dr Xue: "Dunaliella salina increases the activities of the immune system by boosting the actions of the immune cells [such as macrophages and spleen cells, which identify a cancerous cell and destroy it].
  • More recent studies show that Dunaliella salina also contains another carotenoid called zeaxanthin, a valuable antioxidant valued for its ability to both help prevent and treat macular degeneration – a debilitating condition that causes progressive vision loss. Researchers from the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology, University of California in the US, have reported that Dunaliella salina can be encouraged (by allowing it to grow in near darkness) to produce large amounts of good quality zeaxanthin. Under these low-light conditions, they found that for every gram of dry Dunaliella salina, 6mg of zeaxanthin is produced, compared to only 0.2mg of zeaxanthin found in ordinary plants (Jin E., Feth B, Melis A. Biotechnol Bioeng 2003;81(1):115-124).

Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS Selenium (Sodium Selenite 500mcg)

"Selenium’s protective ability lies in its essential role as a cofactor in the formation of the important protective enzyme glutathione peroxidase." *

Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS provides 500 micrograms of selenium per day (along with a diversity of other beneficial though often hard to acquire nutrients), a dose recognised as providing therapeutic rather than maintenance benefit, although if you take Jan Marini C-ESTAMINS you should not also eat generous amounts of brazil nuts on a regular basis. Selenosis can occur if daily intake is in excess of 1000 to 1500 micrograms.

The absolute minimum recommended daily allowance of selenium is 55 micrograms per day, while 90 micrograms per day represents a minimum daily requirement for more optimal biological conditions. However habitual intake of 200 or more micrograms (up to a maximum of 1000-1500 micrograms) per day is shown to markedly prevent lung, colorectal and prostate cancers.

Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum vs. Skinceuticals C E Ferulic

Skinceuticals C E Ferulic     Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum

I was wondering if you could tell me the difference between Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum and Skin Ceuticals C E Ferulic acid?

Plus which one would be better for a younger skin in their early 20's?

Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum contains ascorbyl palmitate and deanol and Skinceuticals C E Ferulic contains ascorbic acid, tocopherol and ferulic acid.

It should be noted that there are some concerns over the safety and suitability of large concentrations of ascorbyl palmitate and deanol.

In recent times, some manufacturers have removed or replaced ascorbyl palmitate from their products.

This includes the "Ester-C" products marketed by Dr. Nicholas Perricone's N.V. Perricone Cosmeceuticals, from which Jan Marini C-ESTA is said to be derived.

Skinceuticals C E Ferulic is a more effective protective product in theory however most people use oxidized versions of Vitamin C products which are useless or possibly harmful.

It was once thought that ascorbyl palmitate was more stable than ascorbic acid, however testing has confirmed that in fact both are inherently prone to considerable oxidation, therefore the claimed shelf-life and superior antioxidant advantage of Jan Marini C-ESTA over Skinceuticals C E Ferulic and similar products may not actually exist.

It is true that Jan Marini C-ESTA Cream is less prone to discolouration (oxidation) when refrigerated so it seems likely it is not stable.

People generally report more immediate skin firming with Jan Marini C-ESTA than Skinceuticals C E Ferulic however long-term firming results are likely to be different.

Skinceuticals C E Ferulic may irritate sensitive skin and stimulate acne in prone individuals while Jan Marini C-ESTA is generally well-tolerated.

If you'd like to try using a Vitamin C product, rather than use either of these, it is better to start with Alyria Antioxidant Capsules, the 10% Vitamin C content of which does not oxidize prior to use by virtue of a combination of formulation and packaging, and which is gentle enough to safely and comfortably test suitability on virtually any skin type or condition.

For additional advice it would be best to ask actual users including specialists at: http://www.derm.net.au/discussions/.
