Jan Marini C-ESTA Eye Contour Cream – Rejuvenation: Aging Puffy Eyes/Dark CirclesSuitability, performance and superiority of this product against other options are only guaranteed when prescribed. Tweet
Jan Marini C-ESTA Eye Cream containing DAE Complex extends phenomenal benefits to the delicate eye area by creating conditions in the skin that encourage rejuvenation beyond any technology previously available. If you don't have dark circles, you'll achieve superior results using Jan Marini C-ESTA Eye Repair Concentrate instead. The packaging of this alternative product is also somewhat more appropriate. Jan Marini Skin Research C-ESTA Eye Contour Cream containing DAE Complex is the culmination of years of intensive medical research. This formula represents the first stabilized effective form of lipid soluble, topically applied Vitamin C in a patented delivery vehicle combined with other essential factors. C-ESTA Eye Cream containing DAE Complex completes and compliments the application of other Jan Marini C-ESTA Products such as C-ESTA Serum and Cream. It also contains beneficial emollients that are designed to lubricate and protect the eye area. For improved and more durable facial skin benefits from Jan Marini C-ESTA: For even greater lift and firmer, more tensed cheek muscles, combine C-ESTA with Gernetic Myo/Myoso. Avoid the use of oxidized Vitamin C – refer Effects of Oxidized and/or Denatured Ascorbic Acid Formulae on Skin. Jan Marini C-ESTA contains ascorbyl palmitate, a rendition of Vitamin C as ascorbic acid with different effects and (loosely speaking) different usage profiles when compared with ascorbic acid. The two should not be considered immediately interchangeable – refer ascorbyl palmitate vs. ascorbic acid. $64.00 | 15 mL A current account is required to reorder this product. Login to reorder. Forestall unnecessary skin deterioration by using this product in a manner which does not constitute skin care failure. 2 July 2007 Directions for Use of C-ESTA Eye Contour Cream by Jan MariniTweetApply sparingly to the under-eye area and gently smooth/pat in. Do not: Through blinking and fine muscular movements in this area, any eye product will slip up slightly from where it was originally applied. Tingling and prickling are possible side effects during initial stages of use. If present these symptoms will typically subside as the skin's nutrient level is restored to a more beneficial level. Stress, pollution, smoking, medication intake and sun exposure can extend any acclimatization period. Medication intake may provoke ongoing mild sensory side effects. 7 June 2009 Correct Use of Eye Contour TreatmentsTweetAlmost all eye contour products should be applied only to the under-eye area and gently patted or smoothed in. Do not allow eye contour products to encroach the eye line or apply them to the eyelids unless specifically directed. Through blinking and the fine movement of fine muscles around the eye, any eye product not immediately absorbed into the skin will slip up from where it was originally applied. Remember: it is contraindicated to evenly "coat" the entire eye area when using most eye contour products. Tingling and prickling are possible side effects during the initial stages of using more active/therapeutic eye contour skin treatments. If present these symptoms will typically subside as the skin's nutrient level is restored to a more beneficial level. Stress, pollution, smoking, medication intake and sun exposure can extend any acclimatization period. Ongoing medication intake may provoke ongoing mild sensory side effects. Incorrect use of eye contour products can lead to eye irritation, cyst formation and over time the development of hypersensitivity or allergies. The same caveats apply to facial products and sunscreens not intended for use around the eyes, only moreso. Darphin Eye Contour Treatments are suitable for application to the eyelids. 6 July 2009 Ingredients for C-ESTA Eye Contour Cream by Jan MariniTweetDeionized Water, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, DAE Complex (includes Ascorbyl Palmitate), Urea, Butylene Glycol, Centella Extract, Glycerin, Polysorbate-60, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolysed Glycosaminoglycans, Palmitic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Hexyl Laurate, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Gingko Biloba, Polyacrylamide (and) C13-14 Isoparaffin (and) Laureth-7, Zinc Sulfate, Cetyl Octanoate, C12-C15 Alkyl Ester, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Sodium PCA, Panthetine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Imdiazolidinyl Urea, Diazolidinyl Urea. 2 October 2009 Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum vs. Skinceuticals C E FerulicTweetI was wondering if you could tell me the difference between Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum and Skin Ceuticals C E Ferulic acid? Plus which one would be better for a younger skin in their early 20's? Jan Marini C-ESTA Serum contains ascorbyl palmitate and deanol and Skinceuticals C E Ferulic contains ascorbic acid, tocopherol and ferulic acid. It should be noted that there are some concerns over the safety and suitability of large concentrations of ascorbyl palmitate and deanol. In recent times, some manufacturers have removed or replaced ascorbyl palmitate from their products. This includes the "Ester-C" products marketed by Dr. Nicholas Perricone's N.V. Perricone Cosmeceuticals, from which Jan Marini C-ESTA is said to be derived. Skinceuticals C E Ferulic is a more effective protective product in theory however most people use oxidized versions of Vitamin C products which are useless or possibly harmful. It was once thought that ascorbyl palmitate was more stable than ascorbic acid, however testing has confirmed that in fact both are inherently prone to considerable oxidation, therefore the claimed shelf-life and superior antioxidant advantage of Jan Marini C-ESTA over Skinceuticals C E Ferulic and similar products may not actually exist. It is true that Jan Marini C-ESTA Cream is less prone to discolouration (oxidation) when refrigerated so it seems likely it is not stable. People generally report more immediate skin firming with Jan Marini C-ESTA than Skinceuticals C E Ferulic however long-term firming results are likely to be different. Skinceuticals C E Ferulic may irritate sensitive skin and stimulate acne in prone individuals while Jan Marini C-ESTA is generally well-tolerated. If you'd like to try using a Vitamin C product, rather than use either of these, it is better to start with Alyria Antioxidant Capsules, the 10% Vitamin C content of which does not oxidize prior to use by virtue of a combination of formulation and packaging, and which is gentle enough to safely and comfortably test suitability on virtually any skin type or condition. For additional advice it would be best to ask actual users including specialists at: http://www.derm.net.au/discussions/. 20 January 2008 Antioxidant Outline Refined to Focus on Primary AntioxidantsTweetDue to the increasing number of skin care products which provide antioxidant function, and because "antioxidant" increasingly refers to any substance which potentially prevents any degree of damage from reactive oxygen species, the listing of antioxidant skin care products now distinguishes between primary antioxidants for various skin types and conditions, and all antioxidants by brand. Skin care featuring primary antioxidants are those which provide the key phytochemicals (carotenoids, tocopherols, vitamin c among others) which are key among the body's native defense systems and have a very clear antioxidant function and high potency. Products containing beneficial antioxidants which are not as important as those designated as being primary are listed as part of the complete summary. The change reflects our background in molecular and cellular biology – primary antioxidants have clearly established and irreplaceable benefits. See Idebenone – Prevage and Priori vs C E Ferulic for a perfect illustration of this reality.
