Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser – All Skin Types

Suitability, performance and superiority of this product against other options are only guaranteed when prescribed.

Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser – All Skin Types

Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser is a gentle but supremely effective cleanser suitable for all skin types with a multitude of benefits.

Particularly appreciated by patients with dry, dull or breakout-prone skin that results from a build up of dead skin cells, its a preferable alternative to abrasive scrubs that's suitable for use as an everyday cleanser.

This formula is soap-free, detergent-free, non-irritating and rinses completely without the need for a post-cleansing toner or astringent.

The deep cleansing product also contains sorbital, a natural humectant derived from berries, that leaves the skin soft and hydrated.

By incorporating skin-clearing glycolic acid as a follicular cleansing agent, the skin is further prepared for other product application.

  • Minimizes fine lines;
  • Smoothes rough skin texture ;
  • Refines the appearance of pores by keeping them clear ;
  • Eliminates minor breakouts ;
  • Contains 12% glycolic acid, optimally formulated for daily facial cleansing;
  • Suitable for sensitive skin affected by any of the above symptoms;
  • Assists in de-sensitizing rosacea;
  • Free of surfactant/detergents;
  • Assists in correcting uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation.

26 January 2012 – The preferred regular home treatment for visibly open pores is now available online. Visit the page for MD Rx Melbourne Dermatology Open Pores Overnight Solution for information.

A Desensitizing Precursor to Increased Glycolic Acid Use: Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser

Most individuals are able to begin use of effective skin resurfacing treatments such as Jan Marini Bioclear Cream, Lotion or Factor A Plus Cream with minimal temporary side effects.

Nevertheless, to further reduce the likelihood or severity of any side effects, and to better ease thickened or congested skin into the right treatment, you can commence use of Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser prior to any other skin care product containing glycolic acid which is left to act on the skin for longer than 5 minutes.

Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser contains a large percentage of glycolic acid (12%, the same as Bioclear Cream et al.), however the reduced skin contact time ensures a gentler incremental acclimatization.

With this aim in mind, use Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser for 2 weeks prior to incorporating any Jan Marini Resurfacing Agents.

Make Up Removal with Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser and Initial Dryness Upon Commencement of Use

Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser is suitable for facial make-up removal, although not around the eyes.

For eye make up removal, Darphin Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover is recommended.

Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser does not lather as it does not contain a surfactant – apply to dry skin with dry hands.

Some skin tightness is considered normal when commencing use of Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser, although this temporary symptom of its use does not always occur.

Dry and dehydrated skin will require more removal of expired dry cellular matter than oilier skin.

Initial separation of dead skin from healthier skin involves a speeding up of the natural process by which these expired cells become totally dehydrated and fall away, so at least in the beginning a feeling of additional dryness is to be expected and desirable – fresh, more perfect (less weathered) and naturally hydrated skin awaits below.

If you find your skin feels tight, temporarily increase your usage of a Jan Marini Hydrator such as Jan Marini Age Intervention Serum or TGF Transformation Cream to ameliorate the transient sensation of dryness.

The above advice also roughly relates to most effective skin care products containing glycolic acid, another AHA or retinol.
