Bioclear is a revolutionary cream that targets the multifaceted acne problems uniquely experienced by adults. This versatile product also has remarkable anti-aging and skin resurfacing properties that benefit all skin types.
Our proprietary research has resulted in a formula that produces exceptional benefits for adult acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation ("sun spots" and "age spots"), inflammation, discoloration, enlarged follicle openings, the appearance of wrinkling and textural changes due to cumulative sun exposure.
This Cream is the emollient alternative to Bioclear Lotion and is generally preferred by normal to dry skin types.
This product is suitable for sensitive skin.
Both Bioclear Cream and Lotion assist in de-sensitizing rosacea.
Bioclear Cream is an effective treatment for normal, combination and dry skin with visible pores.
Please see the Jan Marini Bioclear Lotion and Cream comparison and usage notes.

Now that Jan Marini Bioclear Lotion and Cream are no longer available what can I use instead?
There are many possible replacements.
Skinceuticals Eye Renewal Gel is the same size and may be used over the entire face and not just the eye contour, or alternatively Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense, if your skin is acclimated to alpha hydroxy acids.
Glyderm, Glytone, Neostrata and Allergan Vivité all make highly functional alpha hydroxy acid products.

- Use Jan Marini Bioclear Cream in the evening only.
- Use Jan Marini Bioclear Cream twice a week for the first week, three times a week for the second week and so on up to five times a week.
- Wait one minute before applying anything over Jan Marini Bioclear Cream.
- Always use sun protection during the day, even on mornings after which Jan Marini Bioclear Cream hasn't been used. Acid-based skin treatment therapies are photosensitizing.

- Do not use any abrasive scrubs or drying masks during treatment with Jan Marini Bioclear Cream.
An example resurfacing/hydrating regimen would be as follows:
AM
- Jan Marini Cleanser
- Jan Marini Age Intervention Serum or Cream

PM
- Jan Marini Cleanser
- Jan Marini Bioclear Cream
- Jan Marini Age Intervention Serum or Cream
Further Skin Treatment Notes
- Consistent use is absolutely essential to achieving full results.
- You will most likely not experience any side effects, however please note that the following may temporarily occur and are a positive and necessary step in improving the skin overall:
- acne breakouts from releasing oil and dead cells and other debris from within follicles, necessary to resolve acne and acne-form eruptions, including those of rosacea;
- flaking from the removal of dead compacted skin cells, necessary to resolve irregular texture;
- seemingly drier skin overall from a sudden shedding of the outermost dead skin cells, necessary to resurface the skin (if this is an issue, use a Jan Marini Hydrator over the top of Bioclear Cream, such as Age Intervention Cream);
- stinging, where lesions exist, due to the acidic nature of some of the products (if this is an issue, wait 5-10 minutes after cleansing before applying acidic products).
Pronounced redness and irritation should not occur so long as the acclimatization period recommended above is followed.
These are general instructions for use of Jan Marini Bioclear Cream. These instructions do not override any clinically recommended method of use.

It may be possible to alternate or combine Jan Marini Bioclear Cream or Lotion with Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense for greater and customizable effects.
Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense provides a technically superior formula for most concerns pertaining to skin texture and wrinkling, and possibly hyperpigmentation, but is more expensive, less straight forward and potentially more problematic in use.
Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense is not normally used for whole-face/neck applications as per Jan Marini Bioclear.

To lessen the appearance of deeper facial wrinkles (and eliminate fine, dry lines), Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense may be used in any of the following scenarios:
The best method of applying Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense in the treatment of deeper wrinkles is to hold the dropper just above the area of application.
Allow the gel to drop directly onto deep wrinkles, controlling excess flow by placing a finger just underneath each deep wrinkle.
A thick layer should be applied — the thicker the application, the more prolonged the activity of the alpha hydroxy acids will be.
Leave Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense to set for 20 minutes before proceeding with any further skin care or treatment.
For evening use only.
