Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media

Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media comprise two proprietary combinations of growth factors (Nouricel-MD and Revitacel), cytokine substances including hormones, required for the stimulation of growth in living cells, found predominantly in SkinMedica TNS.

Revitacel contains five human growth factors whereas Nouricel-MD contains thirteen.

Derived from bio-engineered skin, Nouricel-MD Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media contains:

Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media

Topical application of human growth factors, particularly Transforming Growth Factor, to photodamaged skin has been shown to thicken the epidermis, stimulate and protect new collagen production to decrease wrinkles.

SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex contains the purest implementation of growth factor technologies, containing 94% Nouricel-MD Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media [ingredients], in a lipid-based penetration-enhancing gel. The product has an unusual proteinaceous scent which takes several minutes to dissipate.

SkinMedica is a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company marketing both prescription and cosmeceutical dermatology products.

A trial of fourteen patients showed an average 30% increase in collagen versus 4% for placebo after 90 days' use of SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex.

In the US, SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex has become popular among patients with sensitive skin as a purported alternative to retinoids (due to its non-irritating nature) but is also used to supplement the effects of more established "anti-aging" ingredients.

The product is popular amongst a considerable number of American dermatologists, likely due in part to its concentration and vehicle, which possesses negligible cosmetic properties to mask the performance of the growth factors, and markedly positive experience in its use.

Lesser concentrations (likely below 4%) of single and multiple growth factors, predominantly Transforming Growth Factors, are also found in products from Citrix CRS (Cell Rejuvenation Serum 10%, 15% and 20%), Gernetic Les Parfaits Creme Anti-Temps Night Cream, IS Clinical C Eye Advance+ and C-15 Serum Advance+, Estion, Neocutis and Jan Marini TGF.
