Skinceuticals C + AHA — Resurfacing Firming Primary Antioxidant

Skinceuticals C+AHA is a simple two-in-one product that helps keep your skin radiant and healthy both inside and out.

  • On the inside, a 15% concentration of vitamin C provides anti-oxidant protection.
  • On the outside, a 10% concentration of alpha hydroxy acids produces exfoliation, smoothing the skin, creating a more youthful appearance.

Skinceuticals C + AHA contains both glycolic acid and lactic acid, which slough off the rough and textured outer layer of the skin, revealing newer youthful skin under the surface.

Avoid the use of oxidized Vitamin C — refer Effects of Oxidized and/or Denatured Ascorbic Acid Formulae on Skin.

Newly available in 15 mL/0.5 Fl. Oz size for individuals with lesser use or a concern for maximum effectiveness in the period after opening.

Skin care products containing ascorbyl palmitate, a rendition of Vitamin C as ascorbic acid are associated with different effects and (loosely speaking) different usage profiles when compared with ascorbic acid. The two should not be considered immediately interchangeable. Refer Ascorbic Acid vs. Ascorbyl Palmitate (2008) and Ascorbic Acid vs. Ascorbyl Palmitate — The Primary Antioxidant/Firming Quandry (2007).

Please note that pH Neutral (7.07) Ascorbic Acid Alone/Primarily also fails skin.

1/9/08 — Obagi Medical Products Presents In Vitro Data Showing Its Topical Vitamin C Serums Provide Greater Absorption and Stability Than a Leading Competitor.
